NASA to send a space submarine to moon of saturn
There has been a resurgence of space exploration in the last half decade, humanity has now successfully landed on an asteroid and began testing human stasis over monthly periods, while rounding up finalists for their one way ticket to Mars. NASA has landed a handful of rover’s on Mars and has accomplished impressive success with deep space probes observing the gas giants in our solar system. Recently the space agency has announced they want to send a space submarine to Saturn’s largest moon Titan, which contains high concentrations of methane oceans.
Moon of saturn
Specifically, NASA scientists and engineers are targeting Kraken Mare, one of Saturn’s methane seas. Titan is the only celestial body in our solar system besides Earth with surface seas, presenting itself as a candidate for harboring extra terrestrial life. It is conceivable that within the liquified hydrocarbons and freezing temperatures of Titan’s Kraken Mare, some extreme lifeforms may exist.
In a recent conference presentation the space agency explained their engineers plan on flying the space submarine in a manner similar to how a Boewing X-37 operates. The plane-like host will drop the submarine over the Kraken Mare, in an attempt to analyze tidal patterns, the sea floors compositional makeup, how the body of water affects Titan’s weather, and the quintessential mission of exploring for alien life.

Beside’s Europa, Titan presents itself as the most likely candidate for NASA’s space exploration efforts. Scientists have studied organism here on Earth that survive in some of the most extreme conditions conceivable. NASA never confirmed nor denied if the submarine was strictly to be unmanned, with our recent infatuation of space Earthlings may see deep space explorations by manned spacecraft sooner than anticipated.
